CASE STUDY
Mobilize VISION
Overview
VISION is a digital innovation and portfolio management system used by the Department of Defense to track the complete innovation lifecycle—from initial idea to commercialization. What started as a simple concept on the back of a napkin evolved into a market-leading tool that helps military and government leaders see through bureaucratic silos. By visualizing sprawling data sets, VISION enables organizations to identify existing solutions, connect resources, and move faster than the silos normally allow.
My Role as Lead Brand Designer and Strategist
As a brand lead and early-stage hire, I spearheaded the transition from startup chaos to a unified, scalable brand identity. My goal was to turn a "data problem" into a "visibility solution." I built the foundational visual language, digital guidelines, and sales assets required to scale the platform to over 60 U.S. Military bases worldwide. I bridged the gap between complex engineering capabilities and the clear, high-impact storytelling needed to win high-stakes B2B opportunities in the government sector.
Visual Storytelling
By turning product features into a simple, visual story, I ensured that even our most technical ideas were easy to follow at a glance.
Conceptual Diagrams
I created a library of diagrams that served as the anchor for our website and sales decks, giving the team a visual "source of truth" to reference during pitches.
Large Scale Signage
To establish a professional presence at industry events and summits, I designed environmental graphics that had to work from across a crowded room. I translated our complex software mission into bold, simple visuals that communicated our value instantly.
Merch
I designed physical brand assets—including enamel pins, drawstring bags, and custom apparel—to turn a software platform into a community.
